SK2

The SK2 offers a fun, easy and cost effective opportunity to become acquainted with a canting keel racer.

The SK2’s sleek and slippery lines comes with a large clean cockpit. The simple layout and GNAV (over boom vang) provides an open and clean space from which to enjoy sailing the boat whether racing or enjoying a day out with the family.

Easily rigged, handled on shore and launched from a dinghy trolley makes the SK2 a pleasure to live with. No mooring or marina fees and a suitably robust specification and build makes it a very cost effective way enjoy your time on the water.

A true crossover boat. It delivers confidence as a stable keelboat platform, a boost in performance through the canting keel and great fun as it is as sharp and responsive as a dinghy.

LAUNCHING AND RETRIEVING

The SK2 is carried on a combi-trailer like a dinghy.

Unload the boat on the launching trolley from the road base and with an all up boat weight of just 240kg it is easily manoeuvred on-shore.

FROM A SLIP OR THE BEACH
Clip the boat breaker (previously used for setting the rig tension for the day) to the top of the canting keel and either the port or starboard lanyard on the mast dependent on the wind direction. Walk the boat into the water and proceed as if it was a dinghy. As you get into deeper water let the keel down, unclip the boat breaker and clip on the canting keel system. Reverse the process on return.
FROM A CRANE
The SK2 can be lifted by a crane from the top of the canting keel when in its raised position. Just ensure the boat breaker is also attached and remains so until ready to lower the keen.
